“It is impossible to child-proof the world, so we are ‘world-proofing’ our children” ~Unknown
Help, I’m a parent of a child or teenager/young adult! The important and daunting task of raising a child into an adult is one that can send us for the hills. Oak Heights wants to walk alongside parents as they raise their children, not only to be productive adults in society, but to help their children follow Christ well into adulthood. Here you will find links to events to help answer questions about parents and also helpful links to blogs/articles that can help in life currently. Please check back periodically as we’ll change it up a bit, so hopefully you’ll find something you need. We pray for you as you take on this daunting but rewarding task of helping your child(ren) leave the nest.
Please join us for Fika Friends! Fika is a Swedish word for coffee, treats, and wonderful conversation with friends. Fika Friends is a chance for those who stay home with little ones (parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles, daycare providers) to come, have a nice warm drink, the occasional treat, all over wonderful conversation that revolves around childcare, balancing a work schedule and home-life, older children, supporting the family, the Bible, living out your faith daily, and everything in between. Kids are welcome to come along too! We meet on Tuesdays September to May 10a.m.-11:30a.m.
